Chinese Asus website has unveiled new Eee PC model with 30GB storage. This Eee PC 900 30GB boasts a 30GB hard drive in place of the usual 12GB or 20GB SSD drive, and will be available in usual black and white Linux versions, and a black-only Windows XP model. No words on a price or release date yet but seems it will be available only in China.

More good news from HP, as some sources says the company is ready to launch new business tablet PC, Compaq 2730p based on Centrino 2 chipset. This model will be update of 2710p and features 12.1-inch WXGA display, 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo L9400 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, GMA 4500MHD integrated graphic, and Windows Vista as OS. Still no words about prices and release date.

HP has added new Pavilion Puma based laptop, the dv7z. This 17 incher sport AMD X2 dual core CPU 1.9GHz up to 2.2GHz, 4GB of RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3200 or 3450 graphic, 160GB to 500GB storage, with options for optical drives and networking. Starting configuration is $949.99 dollars and can be ordered right now at HP web store.

Creative is ready to launch new ZEN Krystal for Hong Kong and Chinese market. This small MP3 player features 4GB of storage, blue OLED display, FM tuner, support for MP3 and WMA files, and built-in pedometer, which can track distance and speed. Unfortunately there is no info about the price.

Panasonic has released updated Thoughbooks CF-52 and CF-74 with Centrino 2 support. Now you will get same old lappies with larger hard drives, 802.11n WiFi, expanded graphics capabilities and Intel’s Centrino 2 platform. Rest is the same, shock-mounted HDD and spill-resistant keyboard, and prices are $1,949 and $3,199, respectively. Available from next month.

Sony has launched new Blu-ray player BDP-S350. This player is Profile 2.0 compliant with support for BonusView, picture in picture, and firmware that enables you BD-Live. Of course there is full 1080p output, 7.1-channel Dolby TrueHD / DTS-HD Master Audio support and a promise to suck down 21% less power in playback compared to the BDP-S300. Available right now in Sony Style stores for $400 dollars.

Vizio has released new 42 inch plasma VP422 with average performance as some tests reports. VP422 has a native resolution 1,024×768, not like most of plasmas the 1080p. On the rear side you get two HDMI inputs, one component video input, AV input with a choice of S-Video or composite video, RF input, and a 15-pin VGA input for PC. From the specs 30000:1 contrast ratio, 1500 cd/m2 brightness, 178 degrees viewing angle, 0.001 ms response and 60,000 hours backlight life. A digital optical audio output and a set of analog audio outputs round out the rear, while a third HDMI input is all alone on the side panel. There is no aspect ratio control for HD sources and VP422 gets highly inaccurate green primary color and poor grayscale tracking mar overall color accuracy. With this not so good facts you will consider buying one for $799.99.

In case you don’t mind the fact that this laptop weight 12 pounds, you will be very impressed with the Maingear eX-L performance. Designed for gamers, eX-L sport 3.06GHz Core 2 Extreme X9100 CPU, Centrino 2 chipset, double ATI graphic or single NVIDIA, 17 inch display, built-in speakers with subwoofer and 802.11n WiFi. Unfortunately there are not much detailed specifications and pricing and availability is not known but surely you cannot expect this beast to be cheap.

Not so known Chinese company Ainol has released new PMP named V3000. The V3000 is unique for dominant 4.3 inch LTPS display with 800 x 480 native resolution. Details are not certain but we assume there is TV out, support for AVI, RM/RMVB and FLV video formats and MP3, WMA, FLAC and APE audio formats with 4GB storage capacity. Available in China for about $90 bucks for 4GB or $110 for 8GB version.

Toshiba has made new record in 9.5mm HDDs with 400GB capacity. This thin drive for laptops spins two platters sporting 477Mbit/mm2 each! Also the drive consumes 20% less power than other models and 2dB less noise than its own 320GB predecessor. The average seek is 12 ms and 8MB cache. We can expect mass production of 400GB 9.5 mm drives somewhere in September and prices are still unknown.
