BenQ unveils new Joybook Q41 SideShow with interesting option - auxiliary display. Company claims that Joybook Q41 is the first laptop to offer VoIP function directly from the auxiliary display. Users can make Skype calls directly from the auxiliary display without need to open laptop or boot the system. Beside that you will like the specifications. This 14.1 incher has UltraVivid WS display, Intel Core2 Duo processor and Windows Vista. And guess what, no word on pricing or availability.

Just about we thought that we have seen all kind of photo frames, Ality announced Wireless PIXXA 8-inch WiFi frame that easily communicate with Flickr, syncs with popular online calendars and news sites. There is also special Photo Messenger feature that allows friends to send photos instantly onto the frames. 8-inch display shows max 800 x 600 resolution and has 2GB of built-in storage and card reader. PIXXA should be available in first half of 2008. with $299 price.

In addition to compete with Eee PC hype Asus announced new U2 laptop series this Saturday. This 11.1 incher has quite good specs: Core Duo ULV or Centrino, up to 4GB RAM, 11.1-inch 1366 x 768 LED-backlit display, 32GB SSD drive option, 802.11a/b/g WiFi and Windows Vista preinstalled. And all that packed into in a 1.1-inch thick box that weights just 2.75 pounds. No word about price but expect it soon on the shelves.

Looks like Sony finally decided to break into wild Multi-touch LCD market. The company unveils new 3.5-inch multi-touch LCD that uses optical sensing technology. The 640 x 480 display is made of Sony’s “low-temperature polysilicon thin-film transistor” technology and it supports recognition of up to five fingers at a time, as well as pen input. Still there is no info about devices where we could see this multi-touch at work and when it will be released.

Notebook Italia reports that HP will update Pavilion series with new tx1400 models. This tablet PC will cost you $1200 for pre-order and you get 12.1-inch touch screen, same as on previous model tx1300, 2.2GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64 processor, Geforce Go 6150 graphics, 2GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, DVD burner, built-in 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth. No word about other models but you can expect more cuties from HP really soon.

Gemei’s new portable media player, X590 comes with stylish black and chrome design, 2.5 inch LCD and support for all media files you can imagine. No word about storage capacity but with buttons on each side of the screen it is obvious that this PMP is meant for gaming. And yes, we don’t have info about price as well.

R700 will be available in stores in February and with Windows Vista Home Premium it will cost about $970.
