If you are not tired of news from HP today check out these two new LCD monitors. First is the 22-inch w2207h which displays a 1,680 x 1,050 resolution, BrightView panel, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, a 5 ms response time, VESA mount support, HDMI (HDCP-compliant)/VGA inputs, a double-hinged base and My Display technology which enables one-touch OSD adjustment for brightness, color and contrast. Next one is 24-inch w2408h which displays 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, 400 cd/m2 brightness, ambient light sensor, and integrated four-port USB hub. In stores will be from next month with affordable prices $349 and $499.

HP continues to hit us with new products for upcoming CES. Now get ready for desktop line and new Pavilion Elite m9150f PC that sports 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor, 3GB DDR2 RAM, Intel’s G33 Express graphic chipset, Dual 360GB (720GB total) 7,200 SATA hard drives, HD DVD drive, LightScribe-enabled SuperMulti DVD burner, Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11b/g WiFi, NTSC / ATSC / FM tuners, 15-in-1 multicard reader and HP Media Center remote control with IR receiver. Of course there is six USB 2.0 ports, twin FireWire sockets, audio in/out, a wireless keyboard, mouse combo and HDMI / DVI outputs. Expect them somewhere next month with price about $1,159.

We’ve been waiting so long for reaching magical 500GB / 1TB mark for single and dual drive laptop machines and finally Hitachi announced 5K500 or E5K500 drives with such capacities. This advance in storage capacity didn’t come with advancements in storage technology. Hitachi simply used the trick and made 3mm thicker plattes than industry standard for 2.5 inch drives. And don’t expect you will be able to buy those drives for $400 bucks next month, because company decided to sell them just to OEMs for systems integration. First who announced usage of these new drives is Asus with its M50 and M70 laptops.

HP reveals two new laptop models. First one is 12.1-inch tx2000 convertible tablet with the bundled QuickPlay software, a webcam and an integrated microphone but we’ll have to wait for rest of specs. Second one is new Pavilion HDX with 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS graphics, optional Core 2 Extreme processor, Blu-ray/HD DVD support and a 20.1-inch WUXGA XHD Ultra Brightview display with 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. There was room for for two HDDs, Altec Lansing speakers, eSATA port, hybrid analog/digital TV tuner and a media remote. In stores right after CES and prices are $1,299 for tx2000 and $1,999 for Pavilion HDX.
