For $748 you get 24 inch display, 1,900 x 1,200 resolution, 178-degree viewing angle, 1,300:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 6-ms response, and 102% color gamut. Samsung decided to unveil two new SyncMaster LCDs just after the CES. SyncMaster 2493HM is the 24 inch LCD monitor featuring 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, 10,000:1 (dynamic) contrast ratio, 5 ms response time, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 160-degree viewing angles and DVI / HDMI inputs. Second SyncMaster 2693HM is 25.5-incher with 3,000:1 contrast ratio and VGA input to boot. Both models also include integrated multimedia speakers. Available right now for $599 and $699, respectively.
Epson announced two new projectors with very short throw distance. Both models EMP-400W and EMP-400We requires just 2.1 feet to throw 60 inches image in native 1,280 x 800 resolution, 500:1 contrast ratio, automatic 4:3 / 16:10 / 16:9 detection and resizing, 10 watt built-in speaker, two VGA, S-Video and composite inputs and Ethernet port to boot. Only differences is that EMP-400We got additional security features, longer warranty and a bundled wall mounting bracket. EMP-400We is only available in Europe, however the PowerLite 400W is the American version of the EMP-400W.
