OLED technology is so attractive for its low power consumption and ultra-high contrast but there is one problem that nobody likes - short lifespan. Engineers in Toshiba and Panasonic research labs has been developed new method to extend OLED lifespan and with 2.8 inch prototype they managed to double it. The trick is in new metal membrane inside the display that move light more efficiently. Now we’d like to see if this trick will live to see commercial production.

It was almost year ago how Olympus released Type M xD-Picture Card and now is time for something new. Successor named M+ card features 1.5 times faster data transfer than previous models and support all digital cameras with xD-Picture Card slots. Unfortunately max capacity is just 2GB and still we didn’t get the prices. In stores from April.

HP silently announced integrating new Penryn processors into its Pavilion laptop lineup. The Pavilion dv2700t, dv6700t and dv9700t will sport Intel T9300 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo processor with a 6MB L2 cache. Those new processors will give 10% speed boost comparing to previous Intel models. HP is now one of first major vendors to implement new Penryn technology and now question remains why Dell is silent?
