Rumors says that HP has contracted with Wistron to ships about two million UMPC 2133 units this year which is about 10% of HP’s worldwide laptop sales or even more if you compare it with sales of EeePC or Samsung’s Q1. Toshiba revealed new pair of 1.8 inch hard drives most likely designed for portable media players. Both 120GB MK1216GSG and 80GB MK8016GSG are designed to the latest SATA 2.6 specification and feature the micro-SATA connector. Running on 5,400 RPM, 8MB cache and a 489 Mbits/sec data transfer rate, those little drives weights just 62 grams. Unfortunately we don’t know the release that or prices.
