Plextor announced new SATA Blu-ray / HD DVD combo drives. PX-B920SA drive writes to BD-R at 4x speed, DVDs at 16x, and CD-R at 40x, reads HD DVD. The lower-end PX-B300SA doesn’t have BD-R capabilities and just writes to DVD and CD. Both models will be available by the end of February but unfortunately we didn’t get the prices.

Many Dell customers reported that the company stopped selling AMD-powered machines in its online store. Specifically that means that Latitude D531, Vostro 1000 and OptiPlex 740 configurations are not available online. So, this move obviously sends clear message about Dell’s future business moves but it is questionable how long will they last.
