Sigmatek announced new Blu-ray player, the SBR-1000. For the estimated price under $364 it will be the cheapest Blu-ray player available in Europe and expected to hit the stores somewhere in April. It is expected that player will support Profile 1.1 / Bonus View features along with 1080p/24, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and HDMI 1.3 support. Such low price has been achieved thanks to new Sony and Nichia’s new cheaper blue laser.
