AMD has more goodies to show at CeBIT this week. Yesterday the company unveiled new 45nm quad-core processors that can run multiple operating systems and a range of processing intensive applications. We don’t have much info about this presentation, just that two demonstrated processors are named “Shanghai” for servers and “Deneb” for desktops and both were produced in Germany. AMD officially announced new Puma mobile platform at CeBIT in Germany. Puma platform is based on the Griffin CPU and RS780M chipset from the already well known 780 Series motherboard GPUs. New laptops that would like to use Puma brand will have to use Griffin CPU, RS780M chipset and WiFi. As AMD stated new laptops with Puma will come to stores somewhere in Q2 2008 with price range from $699 to $2,500 bucks.
