Alienware has announced new Area-51 m17x gaming laptop featuring 17 inch WUXGA 1,920 x 1,200 display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor dual graphics with SLI support, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, dual-layer DVD writer or optional Blu-ray burner, full range of ports and 12 cell battery that will give you enough power for gaming. You can order this beast from today for $2,949 and it will arrive somewhere in May.
Sharp has teamed with AMIMON and releases X-Series of LCD HDTVs with wireless HDTV link based on AMIMON’s WHDI technology. The 37-, 42- and 46-inch displays will be sold with optional wireless video transmitter enabling the users to send send uncompressed HD to their HDTV from up to 100-feet distance. Unfortunately Sharp didn’t stated and official date or prices for these new displays.

Lenovo has released final specifications of it’s latest ultraportable IdeaPad U110. IdeaPad U110 will be available in US today in black and red combinations and features Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 processor, Intel’s GMA X3100 graphics, 2GB of RAM, external dual-layer DVD writer, 120GB hard drive, 11.1 inch widescreen WXGA display, Ethernet, WiFi and optional Bluetooth and 1.3 web-cam. IdeaPad weights 2.4 pounds with 4 cell battery and it is yours for $1,899 directly from Lenovo.
Newman continues to ripoff iPod style and with new model MOMO-X2 goes even further replacing Apple’s click-wheel with a interesting “N”. From the specs we see this DAP features 1.5 inch display and support for MP3 / WMA files, Microsoft’s PlayFX capabilities, a FM tuner, text / photo viewer, USB 2.0 connectivity and 2GB of internal storage space. So far available only in China for about $57 US dollars.
Last year PureDepth announced that it was joining forces with Samsung to develop Multi-Layer Display LCD’s and now we got some intformations that first MLD LCD’s will hit the stores relatively soon. Multi-Layer Display technology onsists of building displays that are layers of LCD panel that share a common back-light source, creating a depth effect when viewing material. Such technology can be used in mobile handsets, gaming solutions and automotive electronics. We’re looking forward to see this new technology in usage.

Most of well known web reviewers got the latest AMD triple-core Phenom X3 processor for review and seems that general consensus about this CPU is that the tri-core processors offer no real surprises, it performs better than a dual-core AMD CPU, and worse than a quad-core AMD CPU. And if you want comparing with Intel technology this model is even worse an Intel quad-core. Still, it is not that bad option comparing the prices of current quad-core Intel chips, especially if you are not gamer who really need super cool and ultra expensive processor inside your machine.
Sony has revealed new line of Hard Disk Drive DVD Recorders aimed for European market. NX and NXD lines have four models with hard drives at 500GB max storage. The RDR-HX680, HX780, HX980 and HX1080 all ready to fetch analog broadcasts, while the RDR-HXD790, HXD890, HXD990 and HXD1090 also include a DVB-T digital tuner. The HDX series can be shipped with CI slot and all feature HDMI port with 1080p upscaling, X-Pict Story, USB connectors, BRAVIA Sync and a dedicated SD HDD Handycam connection.
Samsung today announced four new monitors from new Touch of Color series displays. All models features 20,000:1 contrast ratio and special options MagicColor, MagicBright, and MagicTune. First two lower models are T190 19-incher for $259 and T220 22-incher for $359. Next two higher range models sport HDMI port and 5ms refresh rate, T240 24-incher for $499 and the T260 26-incher for $599. All models will be in the stores from July.
