India’s HCL keeps production of ultra cheap laptops and this time looks like is teamed up with Microsoft to create “world’s cheapest Windows laptop”. The new model named MiLeap H with 7 inch touchscreen and unspecified Intel processor, Intel 945 GU Express chipset, 1GB of RAM, a 30GB hard drive, 1.3 MP webcam, WiFi and Windows XP Home as OS. No words about release but expected price is about $425 bucks in India.

ASUS has officially released specifications of upcoming Eee PC 900 and on the first glance we see that it features the same 900MHz Celeron M found in the 701 model and will ship into two versions - Windows and Linux powered. The Windows version will have 12GB SSD and Windows XP Home while Linux version will have 20GB SSD and in other specs will be identical as Windows model. The specs also mention 1GB DDR2 RAM, 8.9 inch 1024 x600 pixel display, 802.11b/g WiFi, 1.3MB webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, VGA output and more. Windows model will cost about $513 dollars and Hong Kong customers will have the chance to get it first, starting today, UK and France during this week and other countries by the end of April and first half of May.

RAmos has released new portable media player V8 with nice sleek black design featuring 4.3 inch display and support for MP4, AVI, DivX, RMVB, MP3, WMA and FLAC file formats. There are also a TV output and text viewer, and special function that automatically detect screen rotation and orients the on-screen imagery in response. Of course price is still unknown.
