Samsung has unveiled new series of LCD HDTVs named 750. 750 series ranges from 39.9- to 52-inch sizes, all with 1080p, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, DLNA network access and 120Hz motion processing for $2,599 - $3,499 when they hit the stores in May. Also 650 series is already in sale featuring 720p or 1080p variations and 19- 52-inch sizes, with special Samsung’s Infolink RSS service for news direct to your flat screen. And in case you don’t have Ethernet in your rom Samsung has special Wireless LinkStick that enables either series to pull down news without physical connections for $34.99.
Archos launched new GPS In-Car Holder for the Archos 605 WiFi. This device holds 605 GPS and features full voice navigation and three versions for Europe, North America and China packing detailed maps of areas. It will be available in May for $130 for standard pack or $400 for 30GB bundle.
Michael Dell has unveiled special bamboo-encased eco-PC concept at Fortune’s Brainstorm:Green conference stating that this cutie is 81% smaller than standard desktops and uses 70% less power. Still there were no words about configuration but as Dell said, the machine will be released somewhere next year with price tag between $500 and $700 bucks.
Century has developed special SATA adapter that supports 3 CF cards. It is yours for $450 plus $192.57 for the adapter and shipping, not bad if you consider the prices about $1,000 for 64GB SSD drives on the market. Available from the Century’s online store starting May 1st.
Epson was quite busy with new projectors and unveils five new models. First to open the show are three new models from PowerLite Pro series the XGA G5150NL / G5350NL and the WXGA G5200WNL. Offering 4,000, 5,000 and 4,200 lumens respectively, first two support the Network Projector functionality in Windows Vista. Also there are PowerLite 6110i and PowerLite 1825 featuring XGA resolutions 4,000 and 3,500 lumens and 1825 sporting 802.11a/b/g WiFi module for wireless projection. Unfortunately we don’t know the prices for the PowerLite Pro trio but PowerLite 6110i will cost you $2,899 while 1825 is $2,299.
In the crowded world of PMP’s there is always a question for some good portable speakers that can play all that awesome music we store on the our medial players. Targus has interesting speakers concept Portable Speaker Book featuring NXT flat-panel Balanced Radiator drivers that can be powered with four AA batteries or via USB cable. This Portable Speaker Book is expected in UK sometime this summer for yet unknown price.
Seems that Lenovo is among last laptop vendors that decided to almost completely drop 4:3 displays and completely shift onto 16:9 based models. Apple, Sony and HP don’t have any 4:3 laptops in their line so it was a expected move for Lenovo too. Latest info says that Lenovo’s ThinkPad T61 from now will be available in 16:9 display, so you will have to adapt yourself very quickly.
NES has a new PMP for us, DPMP-003, featuring some nice specs such as 1.3 MP camera. Beside that we see 3 inch LCD, TV out and set of classic function with support for most common music and video formats. Unfortunately we don’t have the info about prices and availability.
Eee PC 900 is fresh and new, and geeks couldn’t be calm so opened it and checked what is stored inside. So far as we can see from their reports, there are no new modules, no layout changes or anything spectacular. So, more-less 900 looks about the same as the Eee PC 700.
MSI has released the specs of the new upcoming Wind Notebook. Wind is about 1 kg weight laptop featuring 8.9 inch or 10 inch displays, 80GB hard drive, LED backlight and Windows XP as OS at this moment. Still no words about price and delivery date but rumors says the Wind will cost you between $470 to $1,099.
