Dell hasn’t been official with this new one but CNET got an early preview of new Dell 2709W display. This 27 incher features two DVI ports, DisplayPort, HDMI, and 3.5mm jacks for surround sound pass through over HDMI. First info says that Dell 2709W will be released in Australia for about $1,150 US
LG has the new line of stretched displays for the UK market. Launched yesterday the 38-inch M3800S-BN and 29-inch M2900S-BN feature interesting 1,366 x 398 and 1,366 x 480 resolutions along with 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 9ms response time and a VGA input. Both models have been designed specifically to host large format digital data for public locations and are able to display data horizontally or vertically in large format and full color.
Just at the same time as Asustek has officially announced new Eee PC 901 and Eee PC 1000 series, guys over Engadget China had a chance to test Acer Aspire One notebook. This 8.9 incher is a decent Eee PC competitor that sport Atom based processor, up to 1GB of memory, 8GB SDD or 80GB 2.5 inch hard drive, 802.11b/g WiFi, SD card slot and 6 cell battery as an option. Also, to keep pace with latest technology Aspire One features integrated WiMax module so you will be ready when the network finally starts. Aspire One is expected to hit the US market in September with, still unofficial, $399 price tag.
After so many rumors, leaked pictures and discussion, ASUS has finally officially announced the new Eee PC series 901 and 1000, 1000(H). From the spec sheets we can see that these mini laptops feature 7.8-hours of batter, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, and 1.3 MP webcam. The 10.2-inch 1000-series features either a 40GB SSD on the Linux-based 1000 or 80GB traditional hard disk on the XP or Linux-based 1000H. Both models can support max 2GB DDR2 memory. And now the prices: so far the laptops has been released in Taiwan and Eee PC 901 costs NT$16,988 or about $559, Eee PC 1000(H): NT$18,988 or about $625 and Eee PC 1000: NT$19,988 or about $658 dollars.
