The Asus has released new ASUS USB-N11 wireless N USB adapter. This USB Wi-Fi stick will allow you to create a protected wireless environment with just one button click. The USB-N11 is fully 802.11n compliant and can establish easy connectivity with all draft-N devices and the device is designed to works on most operating systems including Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Still no info about pricing and availability.
Rumors says that Lenovo is working on it’s own mini laptop project that will be competitor to the Eee PC. The mini laptop will be based on miniature version of the IdeaPad and will run Intel’s Atom low voltage processor. There will be also Linux option just in Eee OC case but still there are not much more information about this project.

IEEE has approved the two new FireWire standards 1600 and 3200. The new IEEE 1394-2008 specification will introduce support for S1600 (1.6 GB/s) and S3200 (3.2 GB/s). The new specifications will be fully compatible with previous ports S400 and S800. The new faster FireWire ports will start in October and with this upgrade will be competitive with USB 3.0 which will work up to 4.8 GB/s.

Freecom says they have developed the world’s smallest 2.5 inch portable hard drive. The Mobile Drive XXS is about 27% smaller than competitors and weights just 155 grams. Available in 160GB, 250GB, or 320GB sizes along with form-fitting rubber sleeve. Should be available very soon in UK for £45, £60, or £80, depending on the capacity.
NVIDIA has introduced new PCIe 2.0 compatible graphic card, the GeForce 9500 GT. Targeting the mid-range quality and price this sub $100 GPU sports 550MHz core clock, 1,400MHz shader clock, 32 stream processors, 800MHz memory clock, 256MB / 512MB of RAM and twin dual-link DVI ports. First reviews says that 9500 GT is faster than Radeon HD 3650, and pretty much on par with the GeForce 8600 GTS. Considering the price this card is perfect if you are not looking for top end performance and average use with low power consumption.

If you remember our story from April about Dell’s Studio Hybrid desktop eco-friendly lineup, finally the new PCs are being released. The mini desktops are your for starting price of $499 dollars and option to choose from various design Bamboo, Emerald, Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Slate and Topaz. Still Dell didn’t published any specifications but so far we know it features WiFi, HDMI, wireless keyboard and mouse, Blu-ray drive and a TV tuner.
