Sharp has developed the special 26 inch LCD prototype with option to get the power from solar module. As the developers say this model is using a quarter of the power of a conventional CRT with the same screen size. So, with the LCD you get Sharp triple-junction thin-film solar cell module that will provide enough power for TV to work.
Acer has released new gaming monitor, the G24 with the information it is the world’s best contrast monitor. It is designed for Predator gaming rig and features amazing 0,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, boast 1,920 x 1,200 resolution, 2-ms response, 400-nit brightness, and Acer technology for color management. G24 sport DVI and HDMI connectors so you can use it with you gaming consoles too. There is no info about release date and prices so far.
HP has unveiled new Puma based business laptops the Compaq 6735b and 6535b. There lappies include 15.4 and 14.1 displays and choice of AMD Turion X2, X2 Ultra or Athlon X2 processors, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, and support for up to 8GB of RAM. Hard drive is 160GB and there is option for second drive in DVD burner place. Both machines feature BrightView and anti-glare display options and will be available soon with $779 base price tag.
Gateway has released 17 inch laptop from P-series, the P-6831FX. This affordable 17 incher features 1.67GHz CPU, 3GB of RAM, 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS graphic, enough USB ports, and large 9-cell battery. So far expected price is $1,349.99 and should be available soon.
