Pioneer researchers have managed to develop a 400GB Blu-ray disc. The technology led to join 16 25GB layers and so far works only in laboratories. As latest reports says it is not certain if this prototype will ever go public and be able to run in Blu-ray drives. We will have to wait July 13th when Pioneer will officially discuss this breakthrough.
Gigabyte goes official with new TabletPC, the 8.9-inch M912V. The TabletPC shares 8.9-inch WXGA 1,280 x 768 LED-backlit display, Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, choice of 120/160/250GB 2.5-inch HDD , 1.3 MP web camera, 1.5-watt stereo speakers, and your choice of Windows XP, Vista or Linux as OS. There are also Bluetooth, WiFi, ExpressCard slot and array of ports including HSDPA. As we can see there is no optical drive included. There is no released date or prices yet.
Acer’s Aspire One is acailable in three versions the A110L, A150L, and A150X. The A110L features Atom N270 CPU, Intel’s 946GSE chipset, 512MB or 1GB of RAM, 8GB of NAND flash storage, 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 display, 802.11b/g, and three USB ports. Other two share same specs and 120GB hard drive instead of flash dtorage. There is option to choose between Linpus Linux and Windows XP for OS. Available in Germany for about $518 dollars.
