Not so known Chinese company Ainol has released new PMP named V3000. The V3000 is unique for dominant 4.3 inch LTPS display with 800 x 480 native resolution. Details are not certain but we assume there is TV out, support for AVI, RM/RMVB and FLV video formats and MP3, WMA, FLAC and APE audio formats with 4GB storage capacity. Available in China for about $90 bucks for 4GB or $110 for 8GB version.
Toshiba has made new record in 9.5mm HDDs with 400GB capacity. This thin drive for laptops spins two platters sporting 477Mbit/mm2 each! Also the drive consumes 20% less power than other models and 2dB less noise than its own 320GB predecessor. The average seek is 12 ms and 8MB cache. We can expect mass production of 400GB 9.5 mm drives somewhere in September and prices are still unknown.

This laptop features 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo P7350 processor, 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphics, 15.4 inch display,a 320GB hard drive, and 3GB of RAM. There is also 1.3MP camera and fingerprint reader. Expected to be released soon in UK for about $1,200 bucks.
