Just as we thought that Sony will bear the world thinnest crown for some time, Philips unveiled its new 8mm thick LCD HDTV. This 32 inch model is still in concept phase and will feature LumiLEDs along with Full HD options we all expect. The company officials has announced that there will be wide range of sizes up to 42 inches and higher. Now we have to wait some official info about this HDTV.
Samsung has announced new ultraslim 13.3 laptop named X360. The new model will be just 0.66 inches thick and weighting 2.8 pounds and will be powered by Centrino 2 ULV processor with 1GB of RAM, X4500 integrated graphics, 64GB or 128GB SSD, or option for 120GB hard drive. As you can expect the ultraslim models doesn’t integrate optical drive but still there were space for 7-in-1 card reader, three USB ports, PCI ExpressCard/34, HDMI, VGA, LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+ EDR and a 1.3 megapixel camera. And of course it is too early to talk about prices and availability.
Just as we thought new photos of upcoming Walkman series are showing. The new Sony Walkman NWZ-S639F sport 2 inch crisp sharp display with new advanced user interface very similar to the A820 series. The player’s capacity is 16GB and supports most of the common audio file types but still there is no video support. And there is no info about release date.

Panasonic has unveiled new successors of the DMP-BD50, the new DMP-BD35 and DMP-BD55 Blu-ray players. All share slim design with just 49mm height and 45nm 3rd-generation UniPhier processor, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD MA audio support and full 7.1 channels. Sony has taken the ‘world thinnest’ title with its latest LCD HDTV. The KDL-40ZX1 is just 9.9mm thick making it almost half thinner that previous Hitachi champion. The KDL-40ZX1 features LED backlighting, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio, 120Hz MotionFlow tech, x.v.Color and BRAVIA Engine 2 image processing. Along with that you get HDMI, USB, component inputs, as well as 5GHz wireless connectivity. From the features we mention XMB GUI, AcTVila video on-demand and DLNA support. Expected in Japan from November 10th for about $4,474 dollars.
MSI was silent for some time and finally decided to show new laptops, the EX300 and EX400. Both models share new fashionable design and EX300 features 13.3 inch WXGA display, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD3450 graphics, a max 320GB hard drive, up to 4GB of RAM, and a Blu-ray drive. On the other hand EX400 sport 14.1 inch display, same Intel Core 2 Duo processor and graphics, Color Film Print Technology and new HD capabilities. Unfortunately there are no info about release date and prices.
ViewSonic revealed its new prototype 120Hz LCD display that will boos all the HDTV powers. The upcoming display features 22 inch and 1680 x 1050 resolution along with dual-link DVI inputs, stereoscopic 3D support, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 3ms response and 4-watt speakers. Unfortunately there is no release date and pricing information.
GamePark has a new handheld Wiz GP2X / GP3X designed in interesting black and red combination. The device features 2.8-inch QVGA OLED display, 533MHz ARM9 processor, 64MB of RAM, 16GB of flash memory, and battery good for 5 hours of work. File support adds Flash 7 player, MPEG4, xViD and DivX with the info that new pack of games will be released each month. Expected to be available on October 8 for $179 dollars.
