Dell has decided to let Vostro 2510 laptop buyers configure their own configuration at Dell’s website. After you assemble your favorite configuration the product will be shipped to you withing 3 to 5 days. The base configurations starts from $899 and includes 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo T5670 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS graphics. However you can add max 4GB of RAM, Blu-ray drive and other add-ons with maximum price about $2,000 bucks.

Guys at Tom’s Hardware has tested and overclocked 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 processor and managed it to work at 5.1GHz using cryogenic cooling system. They says it is a world record but we are not sure because there were P4 CPUs at 8.1GHz and Core 2 Extreme QX9775 on a Skulltrail board at 6GHz. So, close but not the cigar! Sylvania is ready to release new Eee PC competitor the 8.9 inch mini laptop, Sylvania G. This little fella will feature 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 80GB disk, and 1024 x 600 screen with an integrated webcam. As OS you can choose from Windows XP or Ubuntu Netbook Remix. Still no info about release date but estimated price of $299 bucks is quite good deal.

Chinese Sony division has released new PMP named PMX-M80. This player features 4.3 inch touchscreen, 16GB of storage and special mapping feature that resembles to the Google Maps. PMX-M80 support SRS 3D audio, MP4, AVI, WMA, MP3, AAC, mic, memory stick and up to 6 hours of video. Price is 2,260 yuan or about $331 US dollars.
