Dell has a new Precision laptop models, the M6400, M4400 and the M2400. All machines feature new design and colors along with 17-inch M6300, 15.4-inch M4300 and the 14-inch M2300 displays. The M6400 also packs up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB RAID storage, 100% Adobe RGB color gamut in an LED-backlit display, and high-end NVIDIA Quadro graphics. On the other side M4400 has space for up to 8GB of RAM and will cost you $1,569, while the M2400 weighs 4.77 pounds and starting price is $1,449 bucks. All models will be launched during this fall.
Averatec is ready to unveil new fresh notebook. And we can expect machine similar as in Eee 1000 model with 10.2 inch screen and Atom processor, 120GB drive. The laptop will be available around Christmas for $399 - $499 price tag.
HP has rolled out new EliteBook laptops. The EliteBook 8730w sport 17 inch DreamColor display and a quad-core Intel processor, 8GB of RAM and NVIDIA’s 1GB Quadro FX graphics cards. The EliteBook 8530w and 8530p have smaller 15.4 inch display, 8GB of RAM, a Core 2 Duo chip and special unique HP anodized aluminum DuraCase. However there is no info about prices of those cuties.
Fujitsu is finally official with its convertible laptop LifeBook U2010. The notebook will be available in five different colors, Ocean Black, Pink Gold, Cool Silver, Fuschia Red, and Luminous Blue. Inside is stored 1.6GHz Atom processor, a 5.6-inch WXGA display, 60GB hard drive or optional 64GB SSD drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam and battery good for 8 hrs of lifetime. Still no words on prices yet.
After the news that Lenovo is working on S10 the rumors reported that the company is working on special 8.9 inch edition for non US markets that will be named S9. S9 will sport 8GB SSD instead of 80GB HDD in S10 and rest of the specs will be more less the same. The release date is not certain but the price should be about 12,900 Taiwan dollars and that $420 US bucks.
MSI has released special Wind version with hear design and various colors to choose. The idea is that Wind special love edition helps in charity contributions for kids to learn how to use computers in poor countries. The official name for the action is “Love with the Wind” and will be starting very soon!
Lenovo just announced the first mini laptop IdeaPad S10, decent competitor to the Eee PC and MSI Wind. With the $399 starting price you get 10.2 inch Atom powered laptop with 512MB of RAM and 80GB hard disk. There will be option to get version with 1GB of RAM and 160GB storage for $450 bucks. All models will sport a 1.6GHz Atom chipsets and as OS you can choose from Windows XP and Linpus linux. The display resolution is 1024 x 600 and you also get WiFi, Bluetooth, ExpressCard, 4-in-1 card reader and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. Expected release date is September 5th in China and for the rest of the world somewhere in October.

However you can add max 4GB of RAM, Blu-ray drive and other add-ons with maximum price about $2,000 bucks.
Sylvania is ready to release new Eee PC competitor the 8.9 inch mini laptop, Sylvania G. This little fella will feature 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 80GB disk, and 1024 x 600 screen with an integrated webcam. As OS you can choose from Windows XP or Ubuntu Netbook Remix. Still no info about release date but estimated price of $299 bucks is quite good deal.
