LG.Philips announces whole bunch of multi-touch displays just before CES, bringing the notice to rivals. Let’s review them: 52-inch multi-touch LCD displays full 1080p HD and has two touch detection. 84-inch multi-touch LCD features 2 x 4 array of 42-inch panels, totaling full 1080p HD resolution with 500cd/m2 brightness. 47-inch triple-view LCD resemble on Sharp’s triple view with full 1080p, 250cd/m2 brightness and three separate images. 47-inch double sided LCD is 70mm thick with 500cd/m2 brightness and displays images on both sides. And last 42-inch transflective LCD features the 1,500cd/m2 brightness. This displays aren’t TV sets ready for sale, these are panels produced for companies to build into their products for industrial or commercial usage.
